Reaching new readers to your blog is one from many reasons that pushed us to keep blogging. But again a question mark do exist, which is, the way to drive the new traffic to your blog. So you reach new readers in 2009. Here are my 2 cents tips that might work for every blogger who´s interested in targeting new readers to his blog in this new year.

The Consistent Posting Frequency:
Most bloggers fail because they think that blogging is a quick road to riches, so they post like crazy for a few weeks or maybe months and when nothing comes from it, they quit and believe that blogging doesn´t work.
So here I say that the most factor that will lead your blog to succes in 2009 would have to be a consistent posting habit. Your blog might make nothing in the first few months of its life but never give up because that if you do, I bet you will regret.

Brand Your Blog:
It´s time to give your blog a domain name and get out of Blogspot or Wordpress.com. Around 175.000 new blogs are created everyday, branding is what will separate you from the masses.

Be A Serious Blogger:
Because of its low start up cost most poeple don´t treat their blog as a serious business. If blogging costs $100k to start, a lot more people would treat it seriously. Turn your dream to a goal, believe in blogging power and I guarentee you will glow into $xxx,xxx operation in 2-3 years however was your start up budget.

Build Your Relationship With Your Readers:
Blogging is all about forming relationships. The more the readers know about you, the more they will connect with you. And here I recommend you to get on Twitter, if you haven´t join it yet, DO IT NOW! Once you start using it for a while, you’ll understand that Twitter isn´t just a promotional tool, it’s also a great relationship building and a research tool.

Content:
Again, the phrase contest is king is still true, do NOT copy and paste content from other blogs and/or other websites, write about your thoughts, they will make your blog unique and 100% original.

Read Other Blogs And Comment:
Leaving interesting comments on others´ blogs is one of the best ways to drive targeted traffic to your blog. Do not spam your fellow bloggers, read their posts and leave them a comment with your thoughts.
